Ok question. As of my last doc appt I was 3cm dialated and 50% effaced. Let's say for instance at my nxt doc appt (Tuesday) I'm 5cm dialated and x% effaced. I haven't been having contractions so far and we'll say I continued not to feel them at 5cm dialated. What would happen? Would my doc send me home after my appt as usual or....? With my son I was induced and only at 1cm dialated so I've kinda nvr gone through this lol. Jus curious.
They broke my water at the hospital. I couldn't tell if I was in labor at first because the first contraction I felt was a long constant pain that lasted for 5 minutes. then they were like 3 minutes apart. they didn't admit me for 2 hours because I wasn't progressing and they wouldn't do anything for pain. hopefully that won't happen to you lol
@rayniem Right I've been having back pressure and abdominal pressure since I've been dialated but that's it, and the occasional Braxton hicks. Did your water break it did they break it at the hospital?
I'm 39 weeks today. last Wednesday I was 3cm 60%. this Wednesday I might ask my doctor to strip my membranes and see how that goes
no contractions before he did that, but I was having Braxton Hicks. true contractions are waaay stronger
@ericaann1993, I asked my bf earlier and he's like "doc will prolly induce you" I was like uhh, prollyyyyy not! Lol.
I was waiting to see if anyone had an answer for you. I'm also curious about this!
But it will go just fine, just find something to focus on when the pain gets to bad. It was the best experience of my life! cant wait to do it all over again
