To the moms with newborns & to-be moms:

Cherish everyday with your little one. Cherish the sleepless nights, the days you go without showering, the frustration that occurs when your baby is being difficult. Because one day, you'll miss rocking them to sleep, you'll miss them needing you, you'll miss them being little.

My son will be 1 in a month, and he's already so independent: he doesn't let me rock him to sleep, not even hold him while he sleeps. He prefers his crib over everything. I can put him in his play room with all of his toys and he will play by his self for two hours without crying for me. The only time he lets me sit and hold him now is when he gets his breakfast and dinner bottles. Other than that, he wants to crawl around and do his own thing. What I'd give to go back to when he would cuddle with me, sleep on my chest, cry for me when he couldn't see or hear me.

What I would give to feel like he needed me again.
