My last post about trying to find my dog a new home was very offensive to people. I'm a first time mom & my dog been acting a complete fool & I have a baby coming soon idk if my son will be allergic to dogs what so ever. I'm not just gonna throw him At some random dog shelter the hell..

Fuck em. Scuse the language but they shouldn't be talking down to you. It really does seem to me like you're trying to do the right thing
Man yes exactly @emkasting in half of them not gonna come get him so they really should just be quiet
The point is you're trying to find your dog a GOOD home. Don't listen to people. You're trying to do what's best. It's not like you're dumping him on the side of the road!
@deafmama16, I'm gonna find him a good home I'm not gonna give him to a shelter which is the good part.
You can also put an ad in the paper or Craigslist. Just screen the applicants. No one who isn't experienced with dogs.
No kill shelters are good if that's what you decide. It is strange that he wasn't trained at 6 yrs old. Where did you get him?
As hard as it is to give up a fur baby you have to do whats best for you baby. Thank you for trying to find your dog a good home instead of putting them in a shelter.
I see why it's such a struggle now. Yike. @newbabymuva it's gonna get really hard because he is older (not old) and he should know when to use it outside and not outside. Did you get him from the shelter or from other owners? I understand where you coming from now. The pound is a big no no because of the adoption policy and they will put the animal down if not adopted at a certain time limits. Rescues shelter will be best so contact your local humane society for informations. Once you choose to let him go deep deep clean the house everywhere. Hope all work for the best
lol its true tho. I do understand having a family pet, but at the end of the day, who are you going to choose, an animal or your child? child obviously. my mom had her dog for abt 13yrs now, he's super old and she says I have no heart because I tell her to just put him out of his misery (he can't see in one eye, he can't hold his poop/pee anymore, his insides are rotting).
Don't let people get you down.. a new baby takes up a lot of time. My parents had two dog when I was born and ended up having to give them away because they where jealous of me and because I had some extra health issues they couldn't give them the time they needed. If you feel that it is best with the dog and your families best intentions at heart then I'm sure your doing the right thing. Plus, it's your life don't let anyone tell you how to live it.
don't let them get to you. other people view pets differently than others, you're doing what you feel is best for your baby. to me, its just a dog, you didn't give birth to it, so its not your child like these people try to make it seem.
don't worry about people they are stupid and judgmental when it's not about them..... your making a decision for your child and whatever decision you make will be the right one I thought the same with my first but I decided to keep my dog a month while my daughter was home see how things went actually they went better then what I thought the dog acted like a parent and baby never showed allergy to the dog .... see how it goes when baby gets here then make your decision no rush hun
He may be acting out due to the fact you're having a baby and he can sense that. The best way to prevent your baby from being allergic to dig is by keeping your dog around and they both get use to each other. Let you dog know that you haven't forgotten about him even before the baby is born. If he usually well trained before you got pregnant than you already know why he acting out. He jealous and feels that you will forget about him. @newbabymuva
Thank you! @emkasting
