Okay ladies, I have a couple questions. My son is 10 days old and my kachina is still really swollen and I dont know if my stitches are still in or not. I am too scared to see because I dont wanna rip them out of they are still there. I would really like to wipe normally, I feel super gross! Anyways, how long after you gave birth did the swelling go down? When did your stitches dissolve or fall out?

I totally understand what you mean. I'll never be able to use witch hazel again. That's so weird that they didn't prescribe you anything! As if regular ibuprofen would do anything. Definitely ice regularly and take the Tylenol as much as you can. That'll help the swelling. You're almost through it!!

No painkillers, the nurse just told me to take Tylenol and ibuprofen. Switching them every 3 hours. But that seems like too much to me. So I am just dealing with the pain. I maybe take Tylenol 2 times a day. And I use witch hazel wipes in my pads. But I would just like to be able to wipe more than anything, I feel super gross, even with the spray bottle thingy.. @haileybuttons

It's definitely a process. I'm 6 weeks pp and the knot from my stitches just came out a couple days ago after I wiped. The soreness will be on and off. When I was 10 days pp I was still very sore. Try taking is as easy as you can. I noticed the more I tried to do, the more sore I'd be. You can ice it and that would help the swelling. Did they prescribe you pain killers for at home?
