He's wrong not all men think that.. my husband didn't want our baby to be a jr if it was a boy. He wanted him to have his own identity..

My son is going to be a 3rd so I cant defend your side of it but it is just something I never wanted but after being in love with my fiance for as long as I have.

My husband is a Jr. And he hates it so we gave our son his middle name instead it's complicated when the child gets older we get my in-laws tax mail and my husband hates being called Jeffrey and they call his dad Jeff as to not confuse them then he has a cousin with the same name but it's spelled with a g instead of j and their socials are similar you just reverse a few numbers and then it looks like he has been in lock up when it's his cousin not him

Wrong not all men want that. My son (if I was having 1)wouldn't be a Jr. why do men get to have the last name and now want the 1st name and all us ladies get is pain,hrs of labor and a widened vagina lol

My son is a junior. He's his own person yeah but that doesn't mean he can't be named after his son. I didn't want him to be a Jr. but his dad did. We pretty much take over everything, I don't see anything wrong with a man wanting his son to be a junior

In the end, you write the name on the birth certificate. The decision legally is in a mother's hands. Personally, I don't like Jr's at all. But fortunately my husband doesn't either. I just think it is tacky and idk I get wanting to keep a family name but that's what middle names and last names are for!
