@sarahb518, absolutely! I figure besides talking her through what I was doing, and setting the potty up so she can start seeing it, I won't even mention anything to her until she starts showing signs of wanting to try ☺️

Yeah the big girl undies made a huge difference because she didn't want to have an accident in her brand new undies lol. And yeah totally let her in the bathroom with you and tell her simple directions for what you are doing - "mommy is going pee" "mommy is wiping" "mommy is washing her hands" - she will pick it up really quick and it really does make training her so much easier. I would just recommend that you don't try to push her on it. Wait for her to show signs that she is ready to train. It makes a world of difference! @jennatess

@sarahb518, that's so smart! I'm already letting her in the bathroom with me, and I made up a "going pee pee" song that I sing. And she just stares at me, haha. I'll keep doing that until she's showing signs of wanting to try herself. I figure it can't hurt to start showing her that "mommy uses the big potty" even if she's only 9mo. I plan on setting up her potty when she's a year old and then if she wants to ever try it, she can, and I'll just wait until she shows signs of wanting to start training. I love the idea of letting her pick out her own big girl undies! I'm definitely going to do that when she's older and understands!

I took my daughter to the bathroom with me every time and told her what I was doing. When she was around 2.5 yrs old, she was showing all the signs of wanting to potty train, so I took her to the store and let her pick out her own "big girl panties" and the next day, we went cold turkey. I did my research and decided on the 3 day potty training method. Just put her in the panties and told her to tell me when she needed to go. She had 6-7 accidents in the morning/afternoon but by day 2, only 2 accidents and by day 3, no accidents at all and she never wet the bed at night.

@firstbaby_girl, I read that it's smart to use because it's literally exactly like an adults. So, it will be an easier transition to the big potty. Makes sense!

That's a good idea. I have a regular little potty for Kyler but I seen that same potty and was thinking of getting it for Kyler. It looks fun for potty training

My daughter is only in diapers at night, and she's not quite 2. She'll be 2 at the end of June

@firstbaby_girl, hmmm. What I'm thinking of doing is setting her potty up when she's a year old. That way she can start seeing it, and then start when she shows signs that she may be ready.

I have heard girls are way harder and I would totally believe it. I wanted to rip my hair out with my daughter.

That's interesting! I hear boys are harder to train, but he trained earlier than your daughter?
