I feel there is a huge lack of information and wrong information regarding pregnancy.

We agree completely, rushing the process is not safe. Moms need to understand that a due date is just a guesstimate, it's not 100% accurate and we know that because only 3% of moms give birth on their due date. So for all they know, baby is nowhere near ready, and they may very well need to continue to the 40th or 41st wk of pregnancy @meagansimone

That's very dangerous for mom and baby. Induction increases the risks of more medical intervention. Baby will come when ready or when moms body can no longer sustain life in the womb. The female body is amazing and knows what to do.

Yes, that's happening a little too often. Women being induced between 36-38 weeks, without even giving them the opportunity to go into labor on their own. And the women don't seems to be getting to correct t education as to his baby developes. We've seen moms try to induce themselves as early as 35 weeks.

Very true. Which is sad to say especially with so many doctors pushing induction and csections before the dute date.

That is correct, but even the ones who are updated about any new information, they still go by what they learned. Especially the ones who have been practicing for 15-20+ years @meagansimone

That's because not all of them are up to date. Above is the most recent measurement as new studies find that the brain and lungs are still developing past 37 weeks.

Full term pregnancy is now considered 39 to 41 or 42 weeks.
