My husband said he doesn't think she's lactose. So he wants to get her blood drawn. Lol. He always takes his mothers way of parenting over mine. Every time. Its beyond annoying.

that's your daughter, it's your right to allow or not allow certain behaviors from her. Not anyone else's. I personally think cow's milk is disgusting and there are books and websites on why it is actually bad for us......think about it, it's milk from a cow. It's meant for fattening up baby cows. I drink coconut milk, it's way better for you and has twice the amount of calcium....you go ahead and tell your MIL how you feel. Also, I completely disagree with forcing a child to eat or drink anything...as long as you are feeding them healthy balanced meals (most of the time) and they get proper nutrition, why force them to eat if they're not hungry? my husband and I had to have a big discussion about that because he was guilty of doing it. We struggle with obesity so bad in this country, I just feel it's wrong to force someone to eat who doesn't want to and create bad habits in their lifestyle. kids won't let themselves starve, they'll eat/drink when they're hungry/thirsty.

I would absolutely say something!! She's your child and if you don't think she needs the milk tell your MIL to chill. It's your child, your rules.

say something or tell your daughter something in front of your mil. I always tell my son in front of my SIL who is always on my 4yrs olds ass about everything but not her 11yr old, that you only need to listen to Mommy, Grandma, Dad, and Grandpa, not Tia. and honestly forcing a child to eat/drink something that they don't won't will only make it worse, and also make them not like that person doing it. just tell your daughter, in front of your mil, you don't have to drink it if you don't want to, just let me know when you're thirsty so you can try it again.

No! Oh my gosh that's so sad. Do what you think is right. I agree to give her almond milk or soy. People aren't meant to drink milk from a cow. A lot of people's bodies are intolerant to cows milk and it makes them gassy and bloated and leaves them feeling sick. Poor girl. You're the mommy so he needs to let you do what you think is best. and i also don't agree with punishment over food! she don't like it don't make her and she's obviously guna be upset. she tried to drink it she for upset! there's a difference between a no thank you bite or taste and forcing a child! then make her go upsatairs for time out is not fair. what did she do wrong? nothing!

Okay. Well my husband said she jas to learn to like it. Makes me mad. I drink almond milk and told hubby i would share it. But he doesn't want me too share it with the kids. BC its more expensive then cows milk. @mamesey

I wouldn't let her parent my child if I were you! I have NEVER believed I'm forcing a child to eat or drink anything they don't want anyway because it turns into control issues not eating new things etc. Besides does your mil eat or drink what she don't like? no I hate when people do that to children! I've seen kids have eating disorders and either refuse all food or over eat etc. I would step in!

Say something, you know your child doesn't like something so she shouldn't be forced or punished because of it. And try her with vanilla almond milk
