I pumped right away. I pumped in the hospital cos he couldn't latch the first two days. Get your pump on girl!

No problem, I have always been. I don't want to say it's a problem because I know lots of mom's who don't produce or have trouble and I never have. My doctor told me when I had my 1st son almost 13 years ago that I produce a lot of milk.y daughter is 3 and I haven't breastfeed her in over a year and I could pump now if I wanted. It's crazy lol. My cousin is a Doula and says I'm like a dairy cow. I have thought about donating it but I usually need it and when I don't I thin kto myself do I really want leaking boobs.

Be Careful pumping so soon you could overproduce and your little one can get sick, mine would throw up and have bad gas I guess the flow was to fast or something

I would definitely pump mama, you don't want clogged ducts or mastitis....

I pumped while I was in the hospital and had at least 6 bottles ready when I left. I have never heard of waiting to pump. Also if you get mastitis they will make you pump or feed to get the infection out. if your breasts are engorged I would pump then try feeding later. Or pump one side while feeding on the other. You may be like me and over produce milk.

they say not to pump until 4 weeks because your milk is still regulating

does baby latch correctly? I would say, this is my opinion, once baby has latched to pump after to get some relief, however that being said it will tell your body to produce more milk.... exactly how old is baby? they go thru a growth spurt at about 7 days I beleive I was told so baby may want to eat more (cluster feed) .... I actually started a pacifier in the hospital and my daughter still breastfed, she still is 7 months later, however she gave up the paci at about a month on her own

Breast pump covered by insurance

Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
