Moms my 8 month old baby woke up crying and when I carried him he was burning. I checked his temp and it's 100.5 not that bad but he has a cough he didn't have before and his chest sounds congested not much but I hear it. I already gave him Tylenol but I'm debating on taking him in or not.
It's the first time he gets a temp or sick in general so I'm kinda going nuts here.

You could take him in too be safe or calls his pedi first thing in the AM. try rotating tylenol and motrin also.

the ER recommends baby fever to be 104. to see them now "apparently its the law" but if you get it to break see if it comes back if it does take him to see his pediatrician

Try motrin I always have better luck with motrin than tylenol. Tylenol takes forever to break his fever but motrin works within 10 mins you will notice him sweating and getting cooler. Make sure you track his temps every hour. If they keep going up and they won't break between meds take him to the er. Another thing you can try doing is alternating between motrin and tylenol.
