You do the paperwork for social and birth certificate before you leave the hospital and they mail it to you . My twins are 3 weeks and I got theirs a week ago @king24

I got my daughters birth certificate and Social Security card in the mail

Well depends where you are , i got my sons bc and insurance social all thru mail

They make you pick up the birth certificate in like a month at city hall & they mail you the social security within 6 weeks

They file the birth certificate in the hospital after you have the baby and sign the papers. so you can get it anytime after y'all get released. I waited until 1 month to get my sons BC. and he was 11 days old when he was released so I signed him up for insurance then
