I'm really looking for some feedback from real ladies. Sometimes life experiences are better than the straight science (doctors). I've been on some kind of birth control since the early 90s. Finally decided to start a family and had my last depo shot in December '14. Took 8 months just to see AF again (not that I missed it). Moved to another state in Jan '15 and have seen 2 gynos. Both made me fell very 'old' walking out of the meetings about family planning. Somehow 34 is some cut off number for being too old to have children?? Don't women have babies in their late 30s?
I have no one to discuss this with as my family thinks we are not having kids (by choice) and I have not told them that we've been discussing it for 2+years. My boss would freak out if she found out I was TTC. The 2 women I work with are 58 & 64; neither have kids - just fur babies. Not down playing fur babies, I have 2 of my own.
Anyway, I feel like a lame horse that should be put out of its misery.
How far out there are my expectations?
So I was creeping on your profile haha. But just a little bit of info: my mom had me at 39. I was perfectly healthy. She had three miscarriages before me and right after me she had to have her entire uterus removed. But she was still able to have me in between :)
@rachaelbutsch TY. I'm going to pick some up on my way home.
just remember this is how my obgyn explained it to me we women are born with a certain amount of eggs thus every period we loose some the older we get the older our eggs get the less we also have ( that's why it's so easy for younger women to get prego ,) you also have a higher risk of having a baby with downs idk why the risks are higher when your older they just are for some reason. but I believe if you truly want it God will provide try looking into a lube called ( preseed) it's sold at Walgreen and CVS it's supposed to help you conceve I wish u the best of luck @ttc.at.38
@ttc.at.38, we all have those days! Praying it gets better and sending lots of baby dust ☺️
@halibug @yendor678 Thank you. I really needed that. I'm having such an emotional day.
Don't loose hope. I was 35 when I got pregnant with my first and now I'm 37 pregnant with my second. I know a ton of people my age having kids. And I know some in their forties having children as well. Good luck!!
You're totally in the right range. What's the point of periods until menopause if you can't reproduce?? Women have been having babies in their 40s and 50s even. Even though it's not statistically "normal" it's still something your body was built to do and should do if that's what you really want.

College...their choice? Obligation? Financial help? Does degree matter?
I was having an interesting discussion earlier with some friends and I thought it would be a good topic to discuss here.
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
