My baby doesn't seem as interested in my boobie anymore. It's so hard to nurse her without her getting distracted or latching on and off every few seconds. I really hope I don't have to wean her off this early. Shes 4 months right now.

@mommy_faith, wow he's truly adorable :))
@brwneydgirly25 that makes sense she does suck on my boob harder haha ty
the do become more efficient at draining the breast as they get older and yes they get distracted easy too.. I wouldn't take those as a clue that she's done.. she will most likely nurse more often and drink less but end up getting the same amount.. hope that helps 👍😘💜 @mommytomia_
Both. He nurses every time he takes a nap(2-3 times), at bedtime, night feedings and when he's upset lol. I give him a bottle about 3-4 times a day but lately he won't drink more than 2-3 ounces and cry until I give him food. He's a chunky monkey.
@mommy_faith, so are you still giving him breastmilk? or formula now.
I hope she does better with it than my boy lol I didn't know that once he has food he won't want milk anymore. I wish i would have waited a little cause now that it's getting hot I worry about him getting dehydrated. It's so hard getting him to drink milk at all! But my sister's daughter has no problem drinking milk still.
@mommy_faith, she hasn't but she will be starting baby food this month! & Aww really.. I will be ok with either way as long as she takes bottle fully or boobie again
Have she tried any food yet? My son is 6 months and ever since he tried food he doesn't want to nurse unless he's tired lol I think he'll wean himself off sooner than I am ready😩
@krissy_loo44, she takes boobie way easier than she takes bottles . she fights and screams during bottles ! but thank you for your response. I am planning on weaning her off at around 8-9 months. maybe even sooner because of school so if she self weans I'll be okay. ty
lots of times if you mix the bottles with the boobie the baby will get lazy ... it takes 30 or so muscles for a baby to drink from a boobie and only three to drink from a bottle so babies will get lazy and lots of times people just give up on the boobie because the baby drinks easier from the bottle ... if you only give her the boobie for about a week or so she will learn that she needs to work harder and might go back to taking the boobie a little easier ... all babies are different but that is something you might try if you dont want to qyit breast feeding yet
@krissy_loo44, 4 1/2 months :(
how old is she?
@krissy_loo44, she hates bottles but she does take them once a day from my MIL!
