My husband and I had sex earlier now I think I'm having contractions. I know their not BH cause when they happen it's painful and uncomfortable. Happening about every 20 to 25 mins lasting 30 seconds a piece. Gonna wait it out to go to the hospital. Do I have to wait til my water breaks?

my hospital said not to come in unless they were 5 minutes or else it would be a waste of time because they would just send me home. and they did a couple of times.
also, not everyone's water breaks. but if yours does, go straight to the hospital.
No your water may not break before. Wait until they are closer together like 5 mins apart.

Yea track them but don't waste a trip if your more than 10-15 mins away from the hospital. We were sent home twice when my labor started the 3rd time I was at 6cm (most places admit at 3cm, but not my hospital)
