Hey moms and soon to be moms I have a question my daughter is 3 months 3 weeks and she sleeps in a bassinet in our bed room well last night I woke up to use the restroom and checked on her and she had the blanket pulled up to her face, it scared me to death I pulled it off and checked her well she was fine but how can I prevent this? please no negative comments she loves her blankets so I don't want to just take them away. thanks in advance.

Yup I like halo they aren't bad at all but they can unwrap if you have a baby like mine that moves like crazy lol @sarahemccormick I love the Velcro and they stretch real good and done shrink when you wash them the fabric is so soft and breathable yet warm enough if you put footies on @sarahemccormick

The halo sleepers that @sarahemccormick is referring to you can swaddle with arms in or keep the arms out. I agree they are amazing! I have a heavy one that we used when it was colder out and then I just got a thinner one for the warmer weather.

@mimiz, I have never seen those!! That's awesome, I'm gonna try some! The HALO was recommended to me by my NICU team, they use them on all the babies so I got stuck on that brand but those sleepers are so cute

well she is rolling over so was worried about swaddling her and as you said my daughter hatedd her hands being swaddled and she had very good movement of her head I just know it scared me and am scared she is going to continue doing it. I am going to look in to getting one of the halo blanket and see how that does.

Tuck it under her arms and around her body. My daughter hated being swaddled and has slept with a blanket since she was born. Her dr told me make sure their arms are out of the blanket and blanket at the waist. My daughter started pulling the blanket by her face when she was 4 mo after a while nothing I did would stop her but by that time she could move her head and turn to her side

Please try to use a HALO sleeper for her rather than a blanket. They sell them at Target, and the baby won't know the difference between that and her blanky. MUCH safer, and they are only 20.00 - and they can save her life.

You can swaddle her if she isn't rolling over yet. You can tuck the blanket in like around her waist, that way it isn't near her face but she still has them.
