I have never felt so like such a failure in my whole life as I do now!! I have made a huge mistake when it came to child tax ect I had claimed as a single person not working whilst I was on income support ect.. But I never realised me getting a job and partner had to be updated on there system so I never changed it. I cancelled income support when I started working but anyway they have sent me a letter saying about me living with a partner and about mistakes and deliberate mistakes and both of them are on them I'm scared shitless and feel worthless!! As now my only source of money to contribute will go and I'll burden my already very hard working man with debt!! We still have stuff to buy for baby aswel and so much to pay off!! I'm just so scared with how there going to deal with me 😭 I just can't stop crying aswel I feel horrific.

Hey hun, I can understand what you're going through...try to be a bit easier on yourself it's an easy mistake to make. My friend did something similar except she did it on purpose as she wasn't making enough money yet to live off as she worked for an agency asmd work for her was sporadic and she was scared that if she left income support she may be left struggling. Anyway they sent her a similar letter and she was frightened too so went to citizen advice bureau and they told her that it was very unlikely that they'd take her to court or anything over it, at worst they stop her money and ask her to pay back the over payment and also take a cut out of any money that she's still entitled to to pay it back and that's exactly what they've done and she's fine. She said she had to fill in a form stating all her financial details and they decided how much she should pay back from that and she's been doing that and have had no further issues. I think everything will be just fine hun, try not to stress too much, if you're worried perhaps contact them and try to explain and see what they say? I'm sure as long as they get it back they will not bother you xx

@nadsx316, yeah I hope so. Just couldn't have come at a worse time as we've just moved into our own place and had to buy nearly everything as well as due in July so having to get bits for him too, but 😕 well get there :) xxx

Yh I know what you mean in regards to timing it's really crappy when things like this happen, don't let it take your joy away though hun...everything will work out and once you explain your circumstances I'm sure they'll create a reasonable payment plan that won't cause you and your hubby too much stress. Whenever you feel down just keep focusing on all the good you have going on right now, it will get you through xxx
