Midwife appointment Tomoz will I be able to listen to heartbeat at this stage I'm 16 weeks exactly ?

You should be able to. I heard my baby's heartbeat when I was 14+5 xx @hawkie75

Depends on your midwife, but if she doesn't offer, ask her to (: some of them are stubborn and old fashioned about it all. (mine was!) I didn't hear my babies until after 20 weeks as she reckons it's not right until after then... There's always one isn't there! Haha xx

defo, my midwife found my babies heartbeat at 11wks, only cause I asked her too. I have a Doppler at home and I can hear my babies heartbeat just now and I'm only 12+wks xxx

I find the heartbeat usually within two minutes, I've got it to keep my mind at rest that babies still alive and well. Your midwife will defo be able to hear your babies heartbeat at this stage though. So defo ask her if she doesn't mention it to you xxx

@hawkie75, my consultant offered me if I wanted to hear the heartbeat just a few days ago (everyone in the maternity unit in my hospital is very nice and kind)... definitely ask your midwife if she can let you hear the heartbeat with a doppler. I'm sure she'll be okay with it. xx @hawkie75

My midwife done heartbeat at 16 weeks however a friend has just been to her 16 week appointment and she wouldn't do it. Might just depend on your midwife.x
