Well I just got a hurtful reminder to not share my concerns with anyone, especially my family. Gee thanks mom for reminding me that we are in "no position to have a baby". Or my grandma telling me I'm just going to have a miscarriage again so I shouldn't be excited. Whatever , my husbands unit is holding a baby shower today so I'm going to try to get my spirits up for that.

@queenwatson ohh well that's pretty cool. I was 19 when I got pregnant with my son, homeless due to his dad not paying rent and saying he was. I now have two kids and pregnant with my third. I am engaged and own my house. No one supported me when they found out with my first. Just do your best you can for your baby and prove all the sceptics wrong. You can do it

That totally sucks because it's family! But don't even worry or stress about it, I think distance would be good for now. I say go to this baby shower and meet other moms and get excited for free baby gifts! Lol.. Best of luck momma.

@hanna_lynn, exactly. I mean i know I'm not perfect but gosh I'm obviously trying everything I can to better prepare. They really make it hard to be stay excited. @royalty thanks! I'll certainly try not too

@mybabyloves, lol no worries. My husbands unit's family readiness office (Marine Corp) only holds one mass baby shower a year for all pregnant women and moms with babies 6 mon and under. So its not for me specifically , there's 45 other women going as well lol. Haha I didn't want to go at first, but my hubby insists I show up

@butterly234, thanks. That's what I'm going to have to do. you know, it hurts because my mom and I used to be close but now she just reminds me daily that she thinks I'm a failure. I'm definitely going to tell them I need distance.

A baby is always a blessing. Yes it's hard and there may be some struggling, who the hell doesn't struggle in some ways when they have a baby, but at the end of the day there is a beautiful baby that loves you so much. Don't listen to those people, family or not.

Tell your family to f-off! Those are all lies! Don't listen to negative people they have issues if they wanna bring you down. Honestly tell them you need distance and if they aren't: feeding you, financing you, or fucking you they can fuck off and shut the hell up! You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
