I started cylotec (the pill) first, was on it from 8am to 5am, then started pitocin at 6am the next day. My son was born at 1pm. A total 31hrs, but my problem was I was not dilated AT ALL at 41.2wks. If you're dilated 2cm or more it should be shorter for you. Also, if the contractions get to be too much and you aren't against pain medicine, as for Fentanyl (sp?) it worked amazing because oh lord those contractions were intense! @babyrivi
