It is perfectly safe to start now at 8 months, our girl literally eats bites of whatever we eat nowadays, besides thing like honey and peanut butter of course, and we try and limit salt and sugar in whatever we feed her....but other than that, she handles finger foods quite well, has since about 6.5 to 7 months when she started self-feeding with her puff snacks! Every baby is different, just go your lil guy's pace and try not to worry too much, for the first year their breastmilk or formula is the main source of nutrition so you've got until then really until he should be starting to get more interested in solid foods!
Yes. Most of his baby food is prepared by me. I do organic if I can otherwise I feel better if I make it. Wic gives me baby food but we use it rarely. @carterclaytonb
My mom told me not to do meat till a tear that they don't really need it. Instead give beans and pastas and lots of veggies. My son eats stage 2 food gerber chrunchies and the yogurt bites too. Anything that's soft and can be smashed easily he eats.
