I need help!! my son has acid reflex and his doctor told me to put rice cereal in his bottle to make it thicker and he put him on zantac. What bottles did you use cuz I use doctor brown now and I went up to a size 3 nipple and it doesn't come out.

My son doesn't like the taste of it so I give it to him right before his first bottle in the morning and right before his last bottle at night 😊 I hope this helps
The name is ranitidine my son takes it twice a day I give it to him in the morning and before bed and he is doing amazing on it 😊😊😊
I had to do the same. Are you using Gerber rice cereal by chance? That brand just does not mix well enough to get threw the bottle nipple. I used store brands and had MUCH better luck. I had to do the rice because of reflux & because he spit up insane amounts of spit up
we use the playtex ventaire bottles and have never had an issue with cereal.
the cereal does hold it down more but definitely just buy the cheap bottles from Walmart and cut it a Lil bit just go a Lil at a time until u get a small flow out of them. I've had to do just that with all my kids it's not ideal but it does help them a lot. u may also notice he won't eat as much cause he's getting full quicker

they have cerial nipples. they have an ex on the top for the flow.
I'm putting less then his doctor told me to put in it. I'm putting half a teaspoon to 4 oz.
I had the same issue with my son. And we were using dr Browns too and I tried nuk, Tommie Tippee, avent, and nothing worked except cutting the cheap Walmart ones. Good luck momma! @lashbrooke32
if it's too thick to come out then you put to much cereal in it. when you cut the nipple you increase their chances of choking
I ended up having to use just cheap Walmart bottles and cutting the nipple a little.
My son is one year old and i want him to go back and get use to sleeping in the crib I put him in the crib and all he does is cry and I spoke to his doctor and his doctor said let him cry like in 2 or 3 days he should get use to sleeping on his own has anyone try it ?
I swear y’all kill me when people ask questions about THEIR child. If my child is 4m or 5m & I put a little cereal in the bottle it’s nothing wrong with it at all. NOTHING , especially if his doctor already gave me the go ahead. My god, each one teach their own though.

Yep! The Gerber kind sucks in bottles. It's like little pieces of sand and it gets stuck in the nipple hole. The store brand is flakey and dissolves better
