Tomorrow I Have An Appointment For Birth Control, I Don't Really Need It Because I Won't Be Sexually Active For Another 2 1/2 Years. Originally I Said That I Wanted To Get The Implant Because I've Heard Positive Things About It & I Really Would Like To Get Something To Kinda Help Regulate My Period. What Are Your Opinions/ Suggestions?
@belizeanbeautyy, no I is the 5 year IUD. Still has hormones in it but all progesterone I think
@belizeanbeautyy I'm talking about the implant. I just asked my doctor about it yesterday. I'm on the mini pill but having abnormal bleeding and spotting. I asked about the implant and if it would be better and she said I could still have abnormal bleeding or spotting. but I might not. The most common side effect though is the abnormal bleeding
@emeliaday, is that the ring? @rosalinasmami which one are you talking about?
ohhh and it may or may not regulate your period. you could have abnormal bleeding, so heavier, or longer bleeding, bleeding or sporting in between your period. You also may not get a period! but everyone is diffrent so you may not be affected by these. It may regulate you and you'll be all good!😄
I had a horrid experience with the implant. I bled heavily for 11 weeks straight and finally gave up on it. I had great luck with Mirena so I'm going back to that. No periods - maybe a few drops of light spotting every month. It was glorious.
I was on Juneil and it was good with keeping periods regular and light and lasted about 3 days. it's a low dose estrogen to. @belizeanbeautyy
