When do kids start to listen? Like seriously. When will Ryan understand right from wrong. Like, crawling on things is dangerous and NOT okay. I am constantly repeating myself and I'm losing it.

I hate to put it this way but it's kinda like a new puppy. You have to keep telling them over and over until they finally learn. I know that sounds terrible but it's honestly the best comparison

my son is 2 and hes getting better at listening but theres times where he doesnt listen at all and wants to do whatever he wants -_- i wish kids could listen already lol but i dont think they will build that habit until theyre 2

believe me, I do it forty times a day. I say no and move him somewhere else and he's back at it again the next minute. I'm literally talking to a brick wall @twinscomingsoon

I honestly don't think I can deal with this for another year @mommy_of_two1994 I'm trying not to raise my voice but sometimes I can't help it.

@nichole_lynn, yeah i understand you i was like that when my son was a year old but theyre still so small at that age and dont know what theyre doing. its really frustrating, if its frustrating try taking a few breaks from him but soon he will learn once hes 2. my son never listened when he was a year ago and i was always frustrated and i couldnt get no breaks because i was a single mom at that time and lived by myself with the baby.. but hang in there momma its just a little stage you are both going through and it wont last forever :)

I feel horrible, but it's so frustrating. Like yesterday for the 10th time, he crawled onto the end stand and fell off, now he has a black eye, literally seconds after I calmy said no and put him back on the ground. @mommy_of_two1994

we live in an apartment, so the only place we have one is leading into the kitchen. he mainly does this by crawling onto the couch and then the end stand. I'm thinking of moving the stand @mommy_of_two1994

My girl started heeding my warnings when I tell her "no, don't touch!" around 6 or 7 months, she doesn't always stop but she will pause and think about it, sometimes stop and cry because she wants to do it anyway lol and sometimes she'll just not do the bad thing and move on, which is awesome! Just gotta be firm but not mean or scary, and very consistent! It is a daily battle in our apartment to get her to not touch the cover on our dishwasher, it falls off and is not safe...I have to tell her "no" a million times and she'll listen but keep trying it sucks lol "no" and distractions seem to help...tell him no and use words that you will use often along with it, not just the word no....like danger, or owy, or don't touch, then when he seems to hear you and understand (may not listen lol) then redirect him to something else and tell him he can play with THIS lol it seems to work for us, at least!
