ok mommies, does anyone have any tips for trimming baby's nails? I have this little file machine thing (in the pic) that I've been using but it takes to long and baby usually Wakes up before I can finish. Of course I have baby clippers but I'm scared to use them bc I don't want an accident.

I start it clipping my children's nails after they turn 5 weeks. I may sound crazy but a lot of ppl from Europe do it. I did clipped their nails while a sleep till they turn 6 months after that while they are a sleep I clip their nails now . I didn't not wane them to scratch them selves 😆
I wouldnt bite nails personally, my mom has been doing that, and my two year old brother just started doing it himself, except to the point he makes himself bleed. He doesnt know when to stop, so it scares me to do that. Honestly, I clip my sons nails, babies have a fingerpad, you can push it back enough to cut the nail without having to accidently cut them . My grandma taught me that, otherwise I too would have been scared
Honestly I know a lot of moms including myself bite the nails off instead of using clippers

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
