So opinions on long term engagement, my boyfriend and I have thought about getting engaged this year…

We got engaged June 21,2015 (father's day) we aren't getting married til September 22nd,2018

Me and my ex fiancé were engaged for two years together a total of 5.years together idk what happened we were happy and then all of a sudden like 2 months before our wedding we fell apart. But I doubt that's typical for everyone, I think if things are meant to be, they'll happen.

I actually think it's a smart decision...you do what you feel is right. don't listen to other people.

My ex fiancé and I dated for 5 years total and we were engaged for 18 months before calling it off. My now husband and I dated for 2.5 years and were engaged for 2 months, and we couldn't be happier together nearly a year after our wedding! If it feels right, it's right!

Why rush it? Allow yourself to enjoy being engaged who cares how long?!?

There's a fine balance between not rushing and not putting it off.. You guys have to decide what is best. Honestly, my husband and I dated for 5 weeks then got engaged and got married 2 months later. A total of 111 days between the day we met and the day we married. I would have hated to wait longer and I feel that if you're engaged, it means you're committed and serious so get a move on it and make it official.

my husband and i were only 18 and 19 when we got engaged. we were engaged for 2 years. we are going on two years of marriage now. time means nothing. do what yall want to do. your happiness is all that matters

My man and I have been engaged for 2 years are getting married in either July or August and we are doing great.
