So I am currently 3 months and 3 weeks pregnant. I had to step down in my position at work due to stress and over work in car sales. My money has put me upside down $600 a month in bill. The father won't help at all, so I'm doing it all on my own. Living alone and paying all my bills alone. So I applied for another job. I got offered the job today it has more money and better benefits. Plus it's in the finance field which I wanted a career in. I didn't tell them I was pregnant. What should I do? Try and hide it until my 90 days is up? Ill be 7 months or so by then. It'll be hard to hide. By law I can still apply for short term disability even when already pregnant. Need some serious mom advise. Anyone go through what I am going through?

If I were a manager or supervisor I would want to know just for the purpose of being prepared and so it doesnt seem sneaky.

Depends on what you feel comfortable with. Legally they can't ask you, so it would only be if you brought it up. You could interview for the job and see if you even get the offer, and tell them then. Or you could be up front about it. I've never had that experience myself so I'm sorry I'm not more help!

honestly I got a job at 6 months pregnant because I was barely showing well I was but my bump is significantly small and now that I'm 8 months and close to my due date I told them. I really needed a job due to my child's father being in prison so I could care less what people had to say if I hid it. I did what was best for me at the time.

u should tell them so they can plan on what to do when ur on maternity leave. tell them u really need this job and will work until the end

Some of us aren't blessed to have the fathers supporting us. Me being one of them. I feel guilty for not telling them but I need the job. I can't get kicked out on the street because I can't pay my bills. I hope I can keep my bump staying small. This is so hard. Never been in this position.

Well i need to paid time off so I wanted to apply for benefits. I'll be at 7 months when I'm benefit eligible. So that gives them a 2 month warning? @lorraine2014

yea wait a while then so that they can see ur very capable and a great worker. :) i knw how it feels to do it alone. i did at 18 and 19. and until 2 yrs ago i was doing it alone. i hope they understand and see that ur a hard worker

When I got hired at the job am I now I never told them I was pregnant with time I started showing and they ask me if I was pregnant and I told them yea and they dint tell me anything I told them when I was due and am getting the maternity leave. Once ur hired the can't fire you because you're pregnant that discrimination.

Thank you for all support ladies. It's a huge corporation so I'm sure they wouldn't probably want the scandal of firing a capable pregnant woman.
