Hi ladies I need some help or advice .My lb is 10 weeks old when ever he's being undressed or bathed and he Lies on his back he gets really scared and screams 😞 . His arms and legs spread out and he holds his breath and just panics bless him. I have to hold one of his hands while he's being undressed etc to help him feel safe. But even being placed on his play mat today with just a vest on he screamed again like he was scared . With the weather so hot atm and summer months coming up I don't know what to do? Has anyone else experienced this he's my 3rd child but this is a 1st for me. Will he grow out of it? Also yes he does have silent reflux it's not that this is more fear like he's falling if he hasn't got Mits on or mostly clothed. He's quite happy in his Moses basket though and sleeps through most nights .
Thanks in advance

Thanks @suzie31 and @winterbaby95 if he crys or is irritated by his reflux I can tell and it's a different cry he's is on rainitine now and is like a different baby it's made his reflux almost disappear . If I lye him on his play may with clothes on and Mits he plays happily for ages (even with reflux ) but since the warm weather and he has less clothes on he gets scared but if I'm holding his hand he doesn't cry or jump I know some baby's feel like there falling etc but I just wondered if he will ever grow out of it or what i can do to help him , I don't want to keep him fully clothed all the time in the heat xx

Could possibly be the reflux hun. It's quite painful for them on there backs, the acid irritates and burns the throat/osophagus. Try to wait a while after feeds before you lie him down, and distracting him as much as possible works a treat. The pain will vary at different times due to the amount of acid aswell. It's a horrible thing but does get easier to manage. My boy has reflux xx

Often babies with reflux hate laying on their backs :) When my girl was first born up until a week and a half old. She use to scream and cry as soon as you put her on the mat :) So I just sang to her..spoke to her. Also I put something warm and soft down on the mat( cot sheet I never use) And that seemed to make her feel better :) Now she loves getting her nappy changed :) She smiles..laughs...squeals..kicks her legs about and turns over(nightmare getting the damn nappy on her lol) 😂😂😂 Also I would show her Frozen on my phone. She loves bright sounds and music. So I would make sure she was focussed on it and put it down by the side of the mat...and she will just stay watching it while I change her. She loves Sesame Street too :) Try these things :) they may help hun x
