I'm 37 weeks and have been in first stage labor for almost a week now. My midwife says it's completely safe for me to try natural methods of induction as she wants to avoid pitocin unless she would medically need to induce. She said the pitocin will only exhaust me because the contractions will come fast and hard, one after another. She says if there are no cervix changes by my next appointment (next Tuesday) that we will try evening primrose oil. Thank you everyone for all of the tips! @ktwins188 @gingermama @muvah.earthh @wyatts_mommy_0106 @arivera64 @msbeautiful04

EPO doesn't actually help dilate, but instead ripens the cervix and helps it to thin out

Sex, bouncing on a ball or side or bed, dancing. I've heard bad things about the primrose oil and castor oil I'd research those more before trying them

once you reach 36 weeks , it's fine to do things to help dilate :) its dilation, not labor .. anywho! fresh pineapple, bouncing on a exerciseball, sex (semen) , walking !

Evening primrose oil supplement from walmart. Its about 5 dollars. Comes as a gell pill. Take one in the morning and one at night.
Allowing your man to ejaculate inside you, deep, as so the sperm gets to the cervix, it will help it soften and thin.
