so I have a question...so I used to smoke black and mild before I was pregnant and I think I want to after the baby but I plan on breastfeeding..so my question is ...Can smoking while breastfeeding effect my baby ?

I haven't smoked since I found out I was pregnant..

no it wasn't hard to quit bc it was a food reason..but I'm not going to be around my baby smoking I would've made sure there's no smoke around here .. I was just curious about the breast milk tho but thanks ladies @kimberkatherine @jewelslittlefield @m173

No matter what, if you smoke, the second hand smoke and chemicals will very easily get into your babies' system. I honestly think it'd be best not to risk it at all. But I would also say to ask your doctor and maybe read up on it. It could be like alcohol, best to have a drink right after breastfeeding and making sure it is out of your system entirely before feeding again. I just think better safe than sorry but I can imagine it has been hard quitting.

I read that if you're going to smoke do it immediately after you breastfeed. I would also wash my hands right after smoking.

yeah, you can't smoke still. the nicotine goes through your breast milk and could hurt your baby! I smoked cigarettes for 6 years and I always want one like bad!! but baby comes first.
