@arivera64, do you think having pre existing hyper mobility syndrome can make SPD more likely to occur? This pain is so bad. My dr isn't aware of my HMS since its really mild. The pain in my hips and pelvis have intensified immensely since I saw my dr a week ago. I can barely get into a car because I can't lift my leg. Getting out of bed requires help. Should I call my dr now? My next appt isn't for another 8 days.
I'd say that it's a great possibility. To be honest, for spd there really isn't much the doctor can do. I was sent to physical therapy with my worst case and that didn't help. Ither than that, the best next thing is giving birth.
I usually use a pelvic support brace, warm baths, tylenol as needed, alternate sitting and standing periods, get help with whatever i can.....
@arivera64, thank you. My dr is thinking about putting me on Tylenol with codeine. I said I didn't want it at my last appt but this has gotten about five times worse in the past 5 days

Your doctor usually does a pelvic exam and takes into account your symptoms. I had with 2 of my 3 pregnancies and can feel it starting with this one.

If the doc will prescribe it, get it. Nobody can understand the pain of SPD until they have experienced it.

Maybe just call in and ask if the doc will give it to you now that you changed your mind

@arivera64, thank you so much. I've just been looking up why this hurts so much and I remembered that my moms HMS triggered a lot of pain for her.
