I left it up to his father, my fiance. And I knew he would make the right decision because he didn't get circumcised until he was 12. And it was painful for him not being circumcised. And it hurt him more getting it done at 12 than it would have as a newborn. So my son will definitely be getting it done. His daddy suffered and I don't want him to suffer like that. Its best to get it done early in my opinion. I was against it at first... But once my fiance explained why he wanted it done, I was all for it. Its not for cosmetic purposes in our case.
I feel the same way. it's purely cosmetic and for all the women who say they don't want thier sons future partner to think it looks weird or they don't want their son to have an "ugly penis" all I can say is why the hell do you care? I care that he's healthy, happy and INTACT. the only way I would EVER subject my son to that is if I did I'd to my daughter. ... oh wait.... that's illegal. #keepoursonsintact
I was also for it but changed my mind and fiance doesn't want me to and why would I do that to my baby. I think I'll probably cry more than he would seeing him in pain, but to be honest I rather not.
I won't be doing it to my sons. my husband was pro until I showed him a video of the procedure then he changed his mind. I can't bring myself to hurt my baby's over a cosmetic procedure.
I did it for my son, I feel if he wassnt infections and bacteria would be more frequent. Also if he is older and get it done the amount of pain he would be in I didn't want my son to go through that.
I did it. Because every male in my family that didn't have it done got uti & infections when they was 20-30yrs old & ended up getting it done then. I rather do it now where they can't remember it then later where they do, takes longer to heal, & more pain full since its dropped & all.
My little one got it done at 5days old they numbed him he never cried, have him tylonal for a few day & kept ointment on it & he was fine never had a issue with it or him crying cause it hurt.
I agree with you @annekam1022 . I've read articles that say it puts their stress levels through the roof and they don't return to normal for a while. it can also cause difficulty with nursing. DH and I have decided not to circumcise. He said our son should be able to choose just like he did. He said the only reason he got it done was to make his member look bigger.... men 😂😂😒
My man and I talked about that if we ever have a boy my man is not circumcised and I asked him if he would have wished he got circumcised and he said no. He said its not a hassle to him every time you take a shower you need to wash it and he takes one every day. So if we have a boy I'm not. And I've read articles about how it affects some people once they get older. There's no point in putting them in pain. God made it for a reason is how I see it. I hope that helps some..💙 @conejita
See, that's what I hear a lot. At first I was all for it but then I was against it and now I'm on the fence. DH made the choice for himself in 7th grade and got his done. He never had any issues before he got it done.
