so i have a problem... a really close family friend is 36 weeks pregnant and I just found she smoked weed and cigarettes through out her whole pregnancy. She was also diagnosed with Gonorrhea and refused to take the medication to prevent the baby from getting it, so now there is a chance of the baby being blind. Her house is extremely hoarderish and smells horribly of ammonia from the cats. I'm so worried for this baby and I don't know what I should do.
Unfortunately cigarettes are legal so that won't matter..depending on the state she lives in usually when it comes to MJ CPS will just do a home visit if she and baby are positive at birth. However if her house is not safe for baby and there are obvious signs of drug use she can get the baby taken away. I hope something can be done, I can understand why you are worried :/
yes, Legally CPS cannot disclose any info and you don't have to tell them your name.
Yes it can. They're not going to tell her who called. It's against the law. You may have to tell them who you are and how you know but they legally can't tell her who made the complaint
@arivera64, @ashsloan @hermommy @missytoyou @kylamommy2016 Can it be anonymously done?
Call cps. I mean the hospital will probably test the baby for drugs when it's born and if it has marijuana in its system they'll alert them too.
@emkasting, I just wish people would wake the hell up and realise what they are doing to their child.
