Eh, no reason to leave. Everyone could have handled themselves a bit better probably. I saw your post and told you the actual name of the holiday. As an Australian, even I knew it- but that is irrelevant. With everything in the actual media right now and your American election having such a stigma with one of the runners and his absolute deplorable attitude towards Mexico...there are probably some very passionate people willing to jump on everything. That being said, just because you're American and in America doesn't mean it's a bad thing to know about cultures around the world. I hope for all of the women who posted on your post and yourself can move past this.

Don't let ignorant folks ruin your day or week. If they really wanted to educate you they would have been more positive. You know how many of my African American friends posted happy CDM? It was quite a few. Fuck them and focus on what really matters. Not some chicks you will never see.

That's so sad. Please don't go though. What you have are girls that have absolutely nothing better to do so they use that time to get offended by absolutely anything. The easiest way to get back at people is to continue living your life.

Don't go! I only know about the holiday because I took Spanish class in high school and we celebrated it in school by throwing a party lol people now a days get offended by everything and yet go and do the same thing on different holidays. Don't leave because of them.

I only know what it's called, not what it's about. I also seen so many people posting about drinking, and so forth. No one got on to them! I'm sorry! Not all of us are bum holes, and don't leave because people can be stupid.

I don't think they realize it is also a part American holiday. We helped them defeat the French when they couldn't the first time around. They can't go around calling people stupid when they themselves don't even understand the holiday.
