After two weeks of fussiness and constant crying before bed, refusing to feed, not settling no matter what I gave in last night and tried him with a dummy, my boy settled so much better! He only really needs it at bedtime, and even though I wasn't too keen on him having one surely being settled more is better than crying and tiring himself out! ☺️🤗
I use tommee tippee they say orthodontic ones? Think they best if they the flat not cherry teat. I would too haha! Up to you what you do with your baby! Xx
I think all dummies especially maam and avent dummies are all made in association with dentists and I've never had anyone judge me for giving my babies dummies and if they did I would given them what for 😂😂 x @emorleyx
Very true @mrsripper they are a godsend lol! Just hate them mums or people that judge you if you give your baby a dummy! The only thing I am concerned about is calebs teeth? I had an overbite really bad don't know if it was because I had a dummy but I had mine till I was nearly 3 and all the time. X
There's nothing wrong with dummies all 3 of my children have been offered a dummie and taken them, my newest addition only really had his dummy to calm him in the last half hour up to feeding time as sometimes he was waking earlier and then only playing with feeds!! I think their a godsend x @emorleyx
@cookedsushi, Thankyou! My baby is the same, holds my nipple in his mouth to go to sleep. It's between 5-12 at night and he just fusses and gets himself so upset but then as you probably know won't feed as he's so tired but hungry at same time! You do have to do what's best for baby and mum, definitely and everyone's different xx
I felt a failure because it should be my job to settle him! He was just getting so upset and thought it was colic but it didn't fit, he was just crying constantly on and off the breast didn't know what he wanted to do and it calmed him down 😊 at least calmed him so he could feed or go to sleep. I had a dummy there definitely nothing wrong with them! It was my oh too set against them but it works for us xx
