Baby girl has jaundice and so she has been under a light and "blanket" for a little over 12 hours, her levels rised a little which is normal but haven't rised since 11 last night. Its seriously so heartbreaking seeing her with those little eye covers on and only being able to hold her when its time to feed her. No parent wants to be told when they can and cannot hold their baby which is why this is even more upsetting. The pediatrician said she definitely can't go home today but he's hoping that when they do blood work in another 6 hours that they'll be able to decrease the lights and then continue doing blood work every 6 hours. I'm literally so heartbroken I just want to cuddle my baby girl and not see her like this. I miss seeing her big blue eyes open and look at me when I talk to her! Please pray my baby girl recovers fast and we can go home tomorrow! Thank you! 💔💔💔💔

Gosh I feel for you my son was placed on the lights and the blanket and we had an extra 3 days in the hospital because of it his levels were at like a 26 if I believe right and they finally let us go at a level 14

It's the worst feeling ever not to be able to hold them my little was so cold cause the hospitial had the air on he was shivering and whimpering and all I could do was sit their and watch him 😭😭

Both my kids had to and just lied with diaper on no blanket..had to stay extra day it will all work out stay strong @rainbowbaby2015

@hlanc4, yeah she's just in her diaper but she got the special blanket they lay on as well. @carsonsmomma it truly is the worst thing ever. I literally held her the whole first night we had her except for one hour when David did skin to skin with her so I took a nap. It seriously messes with my head I cried like 6 times today and I have only been up since 530am. but I have faith and hope that they'll let us leave tomorrow.

Yes have faith I did as much skin to skin with my son as possible he had some other issues though the first few days so the first week he was born it was very hard to hold him and I cried so much and I was so mean to the nurses because I felt they were being mean to me and the obgyn director had to come talk to me my husband even yelled at one of the nurse because she was so rude luckily they took her off the schedule for the rest of our stay 😂

stay strong mama. my son was rushed to the hospital at 2 weeks old and his bilirubin level was a 30..he was rushed into the NICU within 10 minutes after they got his test results. once they got him upstairs i couldn't hold him,feed him,change his diaper. its rough. when they were getting him umdressed and putting him on the blanket and he was crying i felt so helpless.... good luck babe.
