I am breast feeding only . But I am extremely tired and in pain still from the C Section My LO had been going at it in my boobs for hours .
Do any of you moms ever supplement formula at night ???
Thanks ladies last night got a bit easier she went down at 11:15 . I put a little formula in my breast milk . She only had a little then back on the breast and right to bed after .. @sokori @myliltadpole1116
@sokori, yea it makes it really rough and especially with the baby nursing for at least an hour at a time and having to wake up every 2-4 hrs..It's really frustrating to say the least
@sokori, you can't after having a csection unfortunately. It hurts like hell and getting up is a whole other thing as it is..
Idk how it works with a c-section but you never tried nursing on your side?
It takes some getting used to.. It's easiest if u just leave ur top off and use blankets. Lay them just as u would doing skin to skin. Id lay Lucas across my torso and have his head right over my breast and mouth to nipple . Personally mine are more on the outside and pretty low so I feel like it was more difficult than it should have been. But I felt safest having him lay like that because I could let him stretch out on top of me. It's risky still, we did have an incident and thank god he's okay. There's no good or easy way to breastfeed at night after having a c-section..
@proudm0mmaof2, @myliltadpole1116 that's how I get most of my sleep she is feeding on the boppy I put blankets all around us and sleep sitting up . But every once in a while I want to sleep without her on top of me . She had been up for hours right now . I can't get her to sleep I am about to cry .
how do you nurse on your back @myliltadpole1116 but I had a c section too and when I got released from hospital me and my bf got evicted. so I have been on my own. with my family help too. I took my pain meds one day and fell asleep while nursing. she was fine. so now at night I put a pillow on her side and nurse her. me and her both get sleep doing this.
I know your pain mama! I had a c-section as well and my so went back to work less than a week after delivery.. I used to fall asleep in the middle of the bed (SO would be on the edge) and kept him in my arms sometimes with pillows protecting him everywhere. I don't suggest doing it but make do where you can. I also learned how to breastfeed while laying on my back and Lucas would nurse while laying on me..
That's great to hear. Glad something worked out for ya. Hope it gets better over time!
