I just Went yesterday to the fire dept to get mine installed and l Will be 38 Weeks On sunday. But I did take the Seat off the base so if we did wreck we would Only need to replace the base instead Of the Whole seat.

we have the base in the car. and keep the car seat in the house but sonce im so close to mh due date we click it in when i go to my dr appointments lol

No, but it's not really a good idea to install until she's born. If you get into an accident and have the seat in the car, you'd have to replace it.
