I was told that it does, so our wic won't hand out pumps until 37 weeks or 38 weeks. I have been pumping on and off for the past two weeks (tomorrow I'll be 39 weeks) and I am suppose to be checked tomorrow for dilation but so far nothing.
I got up to an ounce a sitting of colostrum. I had to be induced at 41+3. Don't starting until your 36wks or more, but supposedly it works for some people.

I heard you're not suppose to pump until after baby is born, but nipple stimulation helps

I tried. I have syringe after syringe full of colostrum in my freezer. nothing helped
