Slightly irritated with Medela. My insurance is SUPPOSED to cover anything below hospital grade at 100%, but Medela would not let me get the pump I wanted, said I needed to pay an extra 140$. So I ended up just ordering the Pump-in-style. Happy I get a free pump, but super frustrated that Medela wouldn't listen to me about my insurance. I had called them just the day before to double check that I could get the pump I wanted. But I'm too tired and busy to argue with the creepy phone-whispering lady that answers the phone each time. Plus I manage just fine hand-expressing, I just really wanted the Freestyle to use while I'm at work. Bla.
Have you tried contacting Medela directly? Or talking to a medical supply store? If you call your insurance they can give you a list of suppliers near you. @nanifice
@nanifice no . I stopped breastfeeding when my son was around 4 months old . He's a year old . I just have to find it . It is somewhere in my closet .
at least you got your pump. my insurance says they cover it but no website will give me one!😐 I've been trying for 3 months to get one
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
Breast pump covered by insurance
I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Trying to get a breast pump through my insurance feels about impossible 😣
United health care is awful. I have a prescription for a pump, but they're seriously making me jump through hoops. My insurance will cover a non medical gender test no questions asked, but try and order a pump to feed my kid, and they act like I'm asking for $10,000!!
I'm determined to get this pump for free. If not, guess we will have no choice but to buy one 😡
My insurance covers my breast pump. I just have to get one.
When should I get a breast pump? 🤔 My insurance covers it but I'm not sure when to get it.
I tried that but all the numbers my insurance have me told me that it wasn't covered but it's okay because wic have me one today 😀 @gingyrex @quansmommyy
