Is It Wrong to Have a Big Baby Shower and Let My Mom Help?

@shelsynikkol, lol i know i am. im happy with life i tried for my princess for 2 years id be damned if i let someone take my smile away my daughter and bf make me the happiest. and awee when are u due?? and i know i am! i just dont wana settle for less i want to give her everything she needs even if people think its "too" much i can afford it somewhat so why not go ahead and give her everything😍 im so excited for my babyshower!

girl just ignore her.🙄 you can't help it that you're having a baby and happens to be close in age with hers. mine is the first grand baby for both of our moms so he's definitely spoiled by the grandmas lol. you just do you and what's good for that baby girl! you enjoy your baby shower you can NEVER have too much stuff.

@ynm1990, yess!!! exactly. and the girl who said that was my friend since I was 5 and i was the ONLY one who showed up to her baby shower our junior year.. and when people said they couldnt go but i see on their social medias they where hanging out with other people i just deleted them and took them off the baby shower list, i asked for 1 hour of ur time to spend a special moment with me on finding out the gender of my baby and u bailed on me lol. im hard headed like that 😂😂 alot of old friends get mad because im still with my bf and have been for almost 7 years and they hate that my daughter will have both parents like really yall are so petty and childish.

@shelsynikkol, its my sister in law, and my step grandma who doesnt have kids and didnt want any (anti-babies) my sister in law does seem jelous because i am doing all these things for my daughter that she didnt do.. its not my fault though. my sister inn law had her baby august 2015 and my other sister in law had hers july 2015 so my daughter will be really close in age with their daughters. 1 only having the last name that my daughter will have (sister in law) married into the family. my bf already knows they are trying to compete with us thats just how they are, expecially his sister only wanting his mom and gma to be all about her two kids.. its just crazy!!! but on the bright side my daughter will be the first niece/granddaughter/ great granddaughter and great great/ great niece the first everything. i just dont want my daughter competing with her cousins. and so far everybody is going except like 5 people that are now saying maybe.. and my baby shower is next weekend.

@mareesan, you sound like me. Lol those who didn't show up and didn't send a text saying why they couldn't come. I no longer speak to them. If you truly are my friend you would at least reach out

they're just probably jealous. it's not like every single person you invited will go, and if they do props to you because I've never seen that lol. it's your baby shower doesn't matter me and my husband planed our own. it's yalls money so other people shouldn't be worried, we just went to dollar tree and just bought stuff 😂 cheaper and doesn't really matter. if they have a problem with the way you're doing things then they don't even need to show up, a lot of moms goes all out for stuff like this

i had a gender reveal party too lol thats when i found out who my real friends are only 2 showed up and said what does it matter anyways we where all going to find out your having a girl anyways big whoop. i was like oh really!! lol. alot of people that didnt show up to that got taken off my baby shower list like a good 10 people lol. @ynm1990 lol im glad your going all out too!

exactly!!! idk why people have to hate on me saying is it really nesicarry to have maternity pics a 3d 4d sonogram a big baby shower etc.. why is ur mom throwing it I thought the tradition was for friends too, or why are u helping etc. like mind your dang business i do what i want lol. @ynm1990 i hope your baby shower is special you deserve it💞

Im having around that many people too. My mom chose tho throw it for me and didn't want help because people are flaky. I don't think you are going over board! It's my first child too and I'm going to make it special.

@debbiecakez22, exactly im like over board? ive made everything and bought things from dollar tree and even if i blew alot of $$ what is it to everybody else? its my baby mine and my mansmoney and my my moms and my baby shower. it just seems like people are jelous more than anything lol. i was just curious if anybody else planned theirs too @wildflower16 you are right! I rented a big room that has a big porch with like 20 tables outside and 20 inside each can sit 5-6 people, and i will i am super excited 😍😍 @6155teenmom right because some will bail on you i know i wont bail on myself and i know my mom wont thats why i wanted to help her plan it. thank yall💞💞

do what you want girl. I threw my own shower too and invited a shit ton of people. and guess what not even came and we still had a lot of people.

it's not like you're gonna have all those people in the party at once you know? some may leave at different times or come at different times etc. enjoy your shower and screw everyone else!
