Ladies is it possible to get all the way to 10cm without feeling any contractions at all? I'm so scared that I'll have no clue when I go into labor is because I've never felt my contractions at all. when I was in the hospital the only way I knew I was having a contractions was by looking at the monitor. I've been home 2 weeks now and I'm 5cm and 60% I could go into labor at anytime but everyone keeps saying you'll know when its time but I'm not sure if I will 😩😩

Just want to say I didn't feel any contractions at all until I was about 7-8 cm, so it's definitely possible. My water broke at home, went to the hospital, got hooked up to pitocin since labor didn't start on its own, and then waited. Easy easy labor until it hit me lol

@nicemmcha2015, and how did your delivery go once you reached 10? @littlepeanut91 see that pitocin is what I'm afraid of, speeding up labor with meds makes it even more painful than letting it happen naturally

Yea, I wish I didn't end up needing it. To be honest, they didn't wait long enough or give me good tips to try and get labor to start on its own. They told me to walk for an hour and then they hooked me up. This time I know better! I don't want pitocin until I have tried bouncing on a ball, squats, walking, and all that jazz. Once the contractions started, it was full back labor and it was awful. But it went fast lol

@jaycemommy, only thing I felt was when she was coming out. it hurt but it wasn't unbearable

I wouldn't progress and I had pitocin and an epidural and even with being numb waist down, I told my nurse it was time to push. Even though she had checked me 10 mins before and I was only a 6. When she checked me my daughter was crowning. I pushed 1-2 times with all 3 kids and they were out. Once I hit 6 cm with all 3, within at most 30 mins I was ready to push

@jenn61115, @nicemmcha2015 @littlepeanut91 lawd, we'll see how it goes for me. my bags are packed and ready tho. he's just such a good, chill baby that it makes me nervous that I won't know and end up having him at home or as soon as I get to the hospital I won't have time to get an epidural and I NEED that 😂

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
