Will 37 week old baby's have to go to NICU?? My baby's 6lbs already I'm just wondering
everything will be okay. usually by 37 weeks baby's are pretty healthy and ready and I never got the steroid shot and her lungs were fine :)
You made me feel so much better lol I just don't want her to have to go to NICU... The only reason I ask is cause I've been getting contractions a lot today. @sk216
and she was 5 pounds 13 Oz, so a little smaller than yours
@garciacassie, yeah the shot will help but there is no test for seeing how well their lungs are working. I'm sure she will be fine! But that is just the main reason babies go to nicu, and infections from delivery! Yeah weight doesn't matter. Doesn't tell you how well their little bodies can do on their own in the real world
I had my little girl at 37 weeks 4 days and she didn't have to stay in the nicu at all
Her lungs should be fine I got the steroid shot at 33 weeks because I tested positive for the fetal test.... So I guess it will depend on the delivery! My midwife said she seems really healthy from the looks of her sonograms and everything @candacelouise
I had 39 weeker, 9 ponds 2 ounces was in NICU 10 days
@garciacassie, there is really no telling until you have him/her. It depends on their lungs mainly! And what all happened during delivery
