ladies anyone had a strech and sweep/membrane sweep. .how did it feel n did it work in kicking off things?? ill b having one on my due date..on d 9th may..not being induced due to two previous ecs.. feeling anxious n want labour to start spontaneously. .orelse consultant pushing for planned c sec..

@purity463, Ive had 3 sweeps now and none of them did anything! I wouldn't say it was a painful experience it was just seriously uncomfortable! xx
The stretch and sweep was the worst part of labour for me...hurt way more than the contractions did...The contractions didn't really hurt..there was just this uncomfortable intense pressure...I also had a back to back labour x
Bloody hurt...I was 39+1...1cm dilated. I went to 8cms within an hour. Literally straight after the contractions started coming thick and fast x
my midwife on holiday after my 40th week so dont tink ill b able to get another strech n sweep by 41 wks..im seeing my consultant at 40+1 dont tink she'll do another one so soon..jus been reading that its more favourable at 41 wks etc
I had 2! First one did nothing! Had the second at 41 weeks, had baby at 41+2 @purity463 xxx
