Depends on how much you bleed :) but if you have stitches down there. You'll need to change them more often to reduce infection. My hospital gave me some pads the whole 4 days I was in :) They were a lot thicker than the ones I had bought :) My after bleed lasted about 2 weeks :)
In the hospital I went through around 6-7 a day, at home it started to get lighter. But I bought a pack of 48 thick pads from mother care and 2 packs of Asdas little angels made for mums slim pads for when it gets even lighter. I've already gone through 24 of the mother care ones and he's a week old @fozzywoz x
I used one big pack from mothercare (think there was like 40 of them ) , but everyone's different xx I had stitches so had to change quite often @fozzywoz

I've bought 4 packs of 20 from Tesco as they were only £1.50 per pack instead of £5 each from Mothercare
