Place her gently on your lap.. on her tummy. You can pat and rub her back that way :) Pat kinda over the shoulder blade...and rub up and down across the whole of her back :) Do a variation of it. You may be being a bit too gentle when patting :) pat a little harder...I promise you won't hurt her :) Switching her to an upright position after can also shift the wind :) x

Place your arm under her chest so she can rest on you :) How do you feed her? x

Sometimes you have to do the patting and rubbing for 10 minutes or more before you get anything :) I hardly ever wind my girl...when she got to about 4 weeks old..she could burp by herself without needed me to pat her or anything. Is the top of the lip greyish/bluish? x

My daughter was the same, try rocking her gently back and forth and side to side to get it moving, didnt work everytime but it did work most of the time, also I would lie her in her back for couple of minutes then lift her back up and try again that usually would fetch it up as well good luck it's awful when they are pained with wind xx

My little boy had this at a few days old. What bottles are you using? I used tommee tippee and they made him really bad so I changed to dr Browns and now he is breaking wind no problem! Highly recommended @steph775 xx

@steph775, the rocking side to side thing works and I sit him on my lap and hold his chin and rub the part of my hand just above my wrist up and down his back, seems to work! But dentinox or infacol is supposed to work wonders xx

Give her a nice warm bottle, sit her upright on your knees and rub in circular motion, prop her mattress one end that always helps too x

My daughter of exactly the same. dentinox is great. A paediatrician told me to do baby massage (YouTube some videos if there's no classes) ask health visitor for ways to relax baby. my daughter is always really tense which is why she struggles to bring up wind. and then try loads of positions etc. different things work on different days lol. If you're using dr browns they do reduce the amount that a baby needs to burp. another paediatrician told me that you need to wind for 30 minutes but I don't find that possible as my daughter is a slow eater and eats every 2 hours. And I also have a 2 year old who needs attention. 😕

My little boy prefers being over the shoulder and be slightly bounced as well as rubbing his back up and down and round and round! He is breastfed so doesn't get a lot of wind, but when he does that's normally the trick to getting it up! xxx

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

Hi momma's I need some tips or advice my daughter has been acting up alot lately since we moved back to California (it's a long story as to what happened) but she hasn't been listening to either me or her dad but she will listen to other people and she has just done this since we moved back idk if she is doing it more now that she has both of her parents and she thinks she can get away with it or what but I'm asking what should I do? I've tried literally everything. I've told her that it's not ok to hit or bite and not to throw food and I smack her hand lightly and say "no" when she is doing something she isn't supposed to be doing but she still doesn't listen. Feels like she is already in her terrible twos at one years old....
