Yes!!!!!!!!! I've seen so many children rear facing before age 2, it drives me nuts.

My daughter would have a fit if I had her rear facing lol but then again, my 2 year old weighs 36 pounds and she's 3'1" tall, so it won't be an option here lol

@ketymrtnz, most (newer) car seats actually rear face to at least 45 usually 60lbs now. And even if you don't think they have no leg room, they really do. But it's a law now to rear face until 2. So I will definitely be abiding by said law.

Well thank god I don't live in Texas lol cause for a fact my long child won't have space, even worse in a Toyota Corolla lol to each his own 🙌🏼

@ketymrtnz, plenty of room even in a Porsche and the children are bigger and longer than yours still rear facing. It safer for the child. But most likely the law will be passed in other states too since Texas is like the 10th+ state to do so. http://csftl.org/rear-facing-car-seat-myths-busted/

I know my babies will be screaming. but I'm more happy about their safety. I just hope they fit.

I hope not, that looks super uncomfortable. Those are literally all my reasons lol every kid is different and she won't have it. It's nice info to learn, but I rather keep her how she is now 😄

they just did this in tennessee too!!! and Jonathan's step mom told us, well if she's with me after she's one her car seat will be forward facing.. haha yeahhh guess who won't be keeping her lol I LOVE this!!!

@littlemissrainesmommy, wow!!! I can't believe she said that! You can tell her it's a law and she can abide by it or she just won't be in the step moms car. I love it as well, so much safer!!

@ashsloan, I just wonder about the kids with long legs. I guess I need to watch some videos with dummy dolls. because I would be afraid if the car got hit from the back, what would happen with the kids legs. I do see how it definitely holds them in place better. and they shouldn't get whiplash. of course it's a law, so I'll be following it. my kids safety is the most important thing to me.

@shannaa24, just remember a broken leg is fixable, internal decapitation (which can happen in an high speed crash when the child is front facing) is an almost certain fatality. In the link I posted above it shows many children with long legs, and goes into a little detail over rear end crashes.
