Is it unreasonable to make a post before my induction asking that people who want to come see the baby 1) Let us know first, 2) Wash their hands before holding and also if they smoke wear a jacket over there clothes and take it off before coming in the room, 3) Don't post any photos of her until I get to?
@sarahdrew, well you couldn't help it, how could you know they would post something before you could? 😓
Nope I did that with both my kids and I'll be doing it with this baby too. Your kid, your rules. If they don't like it, they don't need to be around your baby
my mom always washes her hands, she was told by the nicu when I had my son that the smoke on her hands n such can still be passed to the baby (3rd hand smoke) and she still does it with my daughter.... I was not ok with it for sure but I was in recovery after my surgery and had no control over the situation... I should have posted my picture lol
@brittneylove, @rainbowbaby2015 @abeals04 @brittanycheri @sarahdrew thank you guys! My boyfriend said he didn't think I needed to but I've seen way too many moms and grandmas post things before the moms, who may have been okay with it but I'm personally not...I've been waiting so long for her to get here I want to share her with everyone! And I also have a lot of people in both of our families who smoke I don't want to have to harp at everyone to wash their hands you know?
I would do the same thing.... I had a thing to post about not making the announcement or anything until we had, but figured everyone would respect us enough... nope my step mom was on the phone and posting stuff on Facebook as soon as my husband had left the room, I wasn't even out of recovery and she did it
Nope felt the same way my husband posted on Facebook fast bc my dad said he wouldn't listen to me
exactly
