I failed my glucose test, have to take the 3 hour. I forgot to ask how long I need to fast and I don't want to be in hold forever with Mr my Dr, how long do they have you fast? 12 hours?

Has anyone taken the 3 hour glucose tolerance test and passed? I have to take mine tomorrow and I'm kinda worried I won't pass... also, how long should I fast before hand? I heard 8 to 12 hours but my doctor didn't tell me.
How long? I masticated for over an hour today during dinner time.

You can't eat after midnight and only water after midnight was my Dr's instructions to me for the 3 hr one
