I used to work for Jack in the Box, and I transfered from one store to another as a Shift Lead, although had to wear cashier's uniform for a couple weeks until everything was finished being transfered. One of the first shifts there I was working with a relatively new crew, particularly a new cashier that worked the drive through with me. This guy had long, messy hair and his shirt was far too large, and although I noticed he was cute, I was in a relationship already. This guy stepped on a grape jelly packet our first shift together, and it exploded ALL OVER my brand new pants, shoes, and the floor, and I forced myself to laugh it off, smile, and clean up the mess...he looked like he was dying of embarassment inside, but laughed and teased me about it. As months passed, I went from disliking this guy and thinking he HATED me (loved to make me look bad in front of our boss), we started to become friends. We eventually started working many shifts together, including graveyard twice a week (which is just one Shift Lead and one cook, which was him and I), and we chatted often through text. We even began hanging out outside of work, and the more I got to know him, the more I saw how horribly lonely and mistreated I was in my relationship at the time. I had wanted to leave my ex for almost a year, but was scared...he and I were always fighting, and he made me feel like nothing...I have a history of emotional abuse and more, so being with this controling, money sucking (was over a grand in debt by the time I left him), selfish, hurtful guy made me feel like a helpless child again and I thought it was MY fault, and therefore stayed with him because I MUST have been the one with the problem. Well, this best friend of mine, who had teased me, helped me, supported me, accepted me, sang to me, laughed with me, been there for me when no one else was, and had told me all he wants is to see me smile and be happy, had finally opened my eyes to what was happening and I left my ex. I didn't handle it well, broke it off the day before our 3rd anniversary, but I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't continue to feel worthless and unloved. Turns out, the man who had opened my eyes to everything was the man of my dreams, our first kiss was magical...all our friends at work KNEW we would end up together, some thought we already were together LOL and only 2 weeks after we "officially" became a couple (but almost 3 years of knowing each other and being good friends), we concieved our daughter!!! We didn't plan to, but we weren't too panicked about the possibility, either! I feel so blessed to be with my soul mate, the man who just wanted to see me smile, the man who patiently waited, the man who knew we would be together from the moment he stepped on that grape jelly packet 😂😍💕💑😙💝👶💞👪 #myso
