alright so they discharged me from l&d because my contractions got further apart. it caused a little bit of dilation so I'm at a 1.5 cm. I'm home and decided to take a cool/warm bath and was washing to get all the gel out.. then a decent size chunk of my mucus plug cane out. was brownish with some blood... what should I do? call my doctor and ask or is it normal to lose some after they check dilation?? ugh I swear I can't catch a break.. I just wanna relax.

your plug is coming out because your cervix is opening. Try to get some rest and hopefully contractions pick up again soon

@mccokel14, I've heard it is normal and it probably just means ur getting close to going into labor. If u feel unsure about any of it u can always call ur doctor and just let them know .

@tina4483, I'm really hoping for a couple more weeks because I'm only 34 +5 but he measures for 36+5 but I guess whenever he is ready he will come. I thought it was so weird that I was having severe contractions and then after a couple hours they eased up.. any day now I'm sure... @arivera64 @rachel8792 .. they said they are thinking probably 2 weeks max. I'm ready to meet my Lil man but I don't want him any earlier than he needs so I'll be resting until he comes

@tina4483, me to but honestly it's a lot better now than at 22 weeks. I went into preterm labor at 22 weeks and they stopped labor. I had the shots to mature his lungs. so he will be really safe now I just want him as healthy as possible.. it's my first and probably my only.

@mccokel14, yea even if he comes now or soon I'm sure everything will be ok since ur so close to full term. I'm glad they were able to stop labor at 22 weeks I'm sure that was super scary !

the doctors told me it's normal if you bleed after they check to see how dilated you are

@lilbabyboy16, it wasn't just blood. it was like a snotty string of brown with blood into it. quite gross in my opinion..
